Orange-Almond Scones

Directions
Grate orange peel into big bowl, then add flour, soda, powder, and salt. Squeeze juice from orange into measuring cup, then add mild, extract, and egg. Work butter into dry mixture w/ fingers, then add sugar and nuts. Add liquid ingredients and stir. Cut into eight or more blobs. Bake at 375 for 22-25 minutes. 3 c flour ½ tsp baking soda 4 tsp baking powder ¼ tsp salt 1 tbs orange peel ½ c orange juice 1 egg ¼ c (butter) milk ¼ tsp almond extract ½ c sugar ½ c chopped almonds 8 tbs butter
