Directions

In medium saucepan, melt butter. Sauté onion in butter until soft. Stir in flour and turmeric to make a paste. Cook over medium heat 1 minute, stirring constantly. Slowly add half and half, lemon juice, lemon zest, basil and white pepper; cook, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
