Servings: Not specified Directionsmake yellow cake as directed. in a large bowl, combine apples, wine, and sugar. let marinade in fridge for up to 1 hour. heat skillet on medium heat. pour in apple mixture. let it heat up to a simmer. add in cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, and brown sugar. stir together. simmer for an additional 10-15 min or until apples are soft enough for you. remove from heat. dish cake onto serving plates. pike cake with holes with fork. drizzle apple sauce over cake. top with either carmel syrup or warmed mascapone cheese.
