    Directions

    Mix crust ingredients in food processor until coarse, press firmly into greased 9X13 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine first four ingredients of filling with mixer until well combined. Add pecans. Spread evenly over hot crust and bake for 25 minutes or until set (i.e. no jiggling). Cool and cut into squares.Crust: 3 cups flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup softened butter (slightly cold) 1/2 tsp salt Filling: 4 eggs 1 1/2 cups karo syrup 3 T melted butter 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans Preheat to 350 degrees

    Pecan pie is too sweet for me, but I love this alternative and the crust is nice and buttery. Don't use a smaller pan as the crust will be too thick and/or the filling will overflow into the oven
