    Dip chicken pieces in milk then dredge in flour. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Brown chicken pieces on all sides; transfer to a 3-quart casserole. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Brown mushrooms lightly in the same skillet; arrange over chicken and sprinkle with a little more salt and pepper. Cover and bake at 350° F.
